Custom Furniture, Woodworking and Carpentry by Carma and Darren Baker

At 3 Crows Studio, I create timeless, handcrafted furniture that honors the artistry of historical designs, the integrity of traditional construction methods, and the beauty of locally sourced materials. I am committed to create pieces that not only enrich the spaces they inhabit but also preserve the craftsmanship and heritage that make each piece a lasting work of art. I strive to deliver exceptional quality, durability, and character in every creation, ensuring that my furniture stands as a testament to the skill and passion of the craft.

After almost 20 years of being an art and design professor, in 2021, I took the leap by officially creating my own furniture business. In the fine art world, I have become known for being the guys who can do anything. As 3 Crows Studio, I work to bring that same dedication and versatility to create custom furniture, woodworking and carpentry projects to life.

Together with help from my wife Carma and my 3 children, Gwen, Liv and Wyeth, my goal is to create a family legacy of crafts-people. Carma is a potter and is currently working on Good Carma Tees. Gwen is a fiber artist who can knit or crochet anything. Liv is developing into a fine writer and as been an immense help with this website and Wyeth is an aspiring drummer.

Just as point of interest, the name 3 Crows comes from a poem by a fellow carpenter, writer and best friend, the late Tom Bridwell. I worked with Tom for 15 years building some of the most bizarre and elegant work from theater sets, houses, staircases and outhouses. We worked under the trade name, Very Odd Jobs. My hope for 3 Crows is to carry on with that work until we work together again.
